Storm Amy: Fermanagh and Tyrone schools to close ahead of storm

An announcement from the Education Authority has stated that all schools in the areas affected by the amber weather warning are to close at 12pm ahead of the amber alert beginning at 3pm.
Areas in Northern Ireland with a weather warning include, Fermanagh, Tyrone, Londonderry and Antrim.
"The Education Authority consulted with the Met Office to ensure there had been no overnight amendments to the alert.
In preparation for possible power cuts, households are advised to gather torches, batteries, mobile power packs and other essential supplies in advance.
The Met Office has warned that conditions will be dangerous to life in places, and communities are urged to take the amber alert seriously.
