Trains are now running as normal through Cambridgeshire after major disruption on Friday (October 3). Rail passengers faced major disruption just before 9am with trains running to and from Stansted Airport. This was due to a fault with the signalling system. As a result, trains running through Peterborough, Ely, and Cambridge towards Stansted were affected. On the National Rail website it says: "Trains are now running normally following a fault with the signalling system in the Stansted Airport area."
