Greater Manchester Police's Chief Constable Sir Stephen Watson said that a pathologist has provisionally determined that one of the people who died in the attack, outside Heaton Park Congregation Synagogue, on Middleton Road, Crumpsall, suffered a gunshot injury. The attacker, who was shot dead by armed police during the incident, was 35-year-old Jihad Al-Shamie.
