This weekend, several major roads in Kuala Lumpur will be closed in conjunction with the KL Standard Chartered Marathon 2025 (KLSCM). On Saturday, closures will take place between 3am and 11am, while Jalan Raja Laut will be closed earlier, starting from 10pm today (3 October). Some of the roads that will be closed include Jalan Raja Dataran Merdeka, Jalan Raja Laut, Jalan Sultan Ismail, Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman, Jalan Dang Wangi, Jalan Ampang towards the city centre, Jalan P. Ramlee and Jalan Kuching towards Bulatan Dato Onn. Kuala Lumpur police chief Datuk Fadil Marsus said the KLSCM 2025 is expected to attract about 40,000 participants, including 3,300 international runners, across the city centre. “In this regard, several roads around KLCC, including Jalan Ampang, Jalan Tun Razak, Jalan Yap Kwan Seng, and Jalan P. Ramlee, will be temporarily closed from 2pm until the race is completed,” he added.
