The director on Final Fantasy VII Rebirth has assured fans that the multiplatform approach to Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 3 will not impact its development. While Final Fantasy VII Remake and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth have up until now remained exclusive to PlayStation platforms, that’s set to change in January 2026, with the first game coming to Nintendo Switch 2 and Xbox Series X/S. Rebirth is also coming to those platforms, but a release date has yet to be announced. Speaking in a separate interview earlier this week with Automaton, Hamaguchi-san revealed that Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 3 is ‘shaping up nicely,’ and that much of the game’s content is in a playable state. While there’s no release date for the project yet, Square Enix has indicated that it will launch in 2027.
