Organisers of the Prime Minister‘s visit had aimed to provide a hospitable environment, but their efforts were overshadowed by the activist’s bold actions. The activist, advocating for Palestinian rights and freedom, denounced the Greek government’s response to the tragic events unfolding in Gaza, particularly in light of the Israeli bombing and the staggering loss of Palestinian civilian lives. “14,000 Palestinian children have been killed,” the activist passionately asserted, prompting Mitsotakis to defend Greece’s diplomatic efforts in calling for a ceasefire. However, the activist persisted, demanding to know why Greece hadn’t imposed sanctions on Israel or initiated an arms embargo.
