MINOT — North Dakota Insurance Commissioner Jon Godfread wasn't in a jovial mood when we interviewed him yesterday on the Plain Talk podcast.
"I don't have a whole lot of good news in this health insurance space," he told us.
He said we tend to discuss the rising cost of health insurance as a problem distinct from the spiraling cost of health care.
Godfread contends (and I agree with him) that people don't shop for their health care.
There was legislation proposed in Bismarck earlier this year that would have required health care facilities to make public a "list of standard charges" for "items and services."
