ST. LOUIS – Police are investigating after gunshots were fired towards officers Monday morning in west St. Louis. The two officers went inside a unit to begin investigating when a third officer arrived outside to assist. The officer outside noticed a man with a gun approaching the building his colleagues were in, “constantly” giving demands to the suspect. The officer outside continued demands when the suspect began running towards him, and the officer then fired at the suspect. The suspect then went to another apartment, which was occupied, and fired “numerous” rounds into the door and door lock.
