It's going to be loud, but no need to be scared: the alarm sirens will ring all over Austria on Saturday as part of the country's yearly alarm check when it tests the alert system - and it's new cell phone warning system, the AT-Alert. Every year, the Austrian government tests its siren alert system to ensure that the system is fully operational and that the public is familiar with the different siren signals and their meanings. The test activation will be visible on mobile phones in two ways: a text message displaying "Achtung Test - Österreichweite Testauslösung der Zivilschutzsignale über Sirenen und Testauslösungen von AT-Alert", which means "Attention test - Austria-wide test activation of civil defence signals via sirens and test activation of AT-Alert.
