Enviromena has acquired the Longpasture Solar Farm, a 49.9MW, fully consented solar PV power plant located in County Durham from Bluefield Solar and Lightrock Power. This is the third acquisition Enviromena has successfully closed this summer, having also taken on two ready-to-build projects located in Shropshire in recent weeks. In July, the IPP purchased the 30MW Steeraway solar PV power plant from Luxembourg-based developer RE Infrastructure Opportunities Holding S.à.r.l. Earlier this month, the developer acquired the 40MW Rock Farm solar PV plant from Anglo Renewables. Located in Essex, the Medebridge Solar Farm is a 71MWp solar power plant and the subject of what Enviromena states is the UK’s largest solar Corporate Power Purchase Agreement (CPPA) with an educational institution.
