Funds managed by investment manager Foresight Group have sold a 50% stake in a BESS in Scotland and put another in England into commercial operation. The project was jointly owned with another Foresight Group fund, Foresight Environmental Infrastructure Fund (FGEN), and has been sold to a third-party at a price in line with the carrying value as of 30 June, 2025. Foresight Group is also exploring options for Clayfords, a 50MW BESS in which Foresight Solar holds a 50% stake which could include a sale. It acquired it through funds Foresight Energy Infrastructure Partners II (FEIP II), taking 49%, and Blackmead Infrastructure Limited, which took 51%. Foresight Solar is publicly traded, but also encompasses solar, while the funds that acquired HEIT are not.
