Net zero energy services firm eEnergy has been selected as the preferred supplier for a Great British Energy project delivering solar PV to schools in the Midlands. eEnergy announced that it will now work to design and plan solar PV installations for 47 schools across Derbyshire, Staffordshire, Warwickshire, Worcestershire, Northamptonshire, Nottinghamshire, Birmingham, Wolverhampton and the surrounding areas. The rollout also features a consortium of other installers and solar energy firms, including Mace Consult Limited, Macdonald, RAFT, SOS-UK, Inspired Efficiency, Nexus, Energy Sparks, and Building Spatial Intelligence. eEnergy is the UK’s largest solar and LED installer in the education sector. While this news provides much reason for optimism for the education sector, it has been pointed out that there is something of a funding gap in the solar sector for school solar installation.
