USTMA Scales Back Shipment Forecast
[]
Home | Modern Tire Dealer
The U.S. Tire Manufacturers Association (USTMA) has scaled back slightly its projection for U.S. tire shipments in 2025.
The new forecast, issued Aug. 7, calls for 340.2 million units, down from the 340.4 million units in its March 2025 forecast.
The USTMA predicts an across-the-board decrease in original equipment tire shipments across three categories — passenger, light truck and medium truck — when compared to 2024 USTMA figures.
The group is expecting the growth for the year to come from the replacement tire side of things, with the strongest gain expected in replacement truck tires.
Here’s a look at the USTMA figures.
