By Jeremy CookGoondiwindi will benefit from more than $1.4 million in state funding as the Queensland government looks to ramp up efforts to unlock land and boost housing supply.
Roughly $1.34 million will go towards building 4.4 kilometres worth of electrical mains at Goondiwindi’s Parkridge Estate.
Mr Bleijie announced a further $800,000 for the Southern Downs Regional Council to produce detailed designs for water and sewerage infrastructure in Warwick west.
An extra $75,000 will fund future proofing upgrades to Goondiwindi Regional Council’s wastewater treatment plant.
But that is particularly important, particularly for regional Queensland,” he said.
