Dadasaheb Phalke Award holds the rank of the country’s highest award for cinema. The award ceremony comes up every year during the National Film Awards. Veteran actor Mohanlal had this honor bestowed upon him on tuesday at the 71st National Film Awards. Mohanlal, the acclaimed Malayalam actor, became the youngest actor this award had been given to as well as the second citizen from the state of Kerala. He also explained further that the award does not just belong to him, but to the entirety of the Malayalam film industry.
