Water PNG to disconnect illegal water connections

Water PNG Limited in Mt Hagen will carry out a major operation to disconnect unauthorized connections in the province.
Water PNG Hagen’s Business Center Manager, Thomas Basse, said that operations will commence next Monday, 13th October 2025, and will run for approximately two weeks.
Mr Basse said that during the operation there will be three think that they will do;Remove the illegal connections.
Mr Basse further clarified that when operation commence on Monday there will also be police presence to maintain peace during the operation.
Water PNG Hagen Team Leader for Customer Service Desmond Thomas Poiya said that currently there are two major hotspot areas that we have identified who are doing a lot of illegal connections.
