Prime Minister James Marape arriving and speaking to the people of Wabag in Enga province today as part of the 50th independence anniversary program for the Enga provincial government which was held from the 1st to 3rd of October 2025.
Prime Minister Marape urged the people of Enga to lay down arms and guns, stop tribal conflict and respect the rule of law and live in harmony.
Prime Minister Marape also pledged to work with the Enga provincial government, Kandep and Porgera and Paiela District to build the Wabag to Porgera and Tari road link.
Prime Minister Marape said the people of Mendi, Kandep and Tari including Porgera need such roads and bridges so that government services can reach the people.
The Government also presented a cheque of K48 million to the Enga provincial government for various projects and programs.
