Newly-formed private-label manufacturer Windoria is to acquire Al-Fursan Al-Maghawear, a Saudi Arabian manufacturer and distributor of sauces and condiments.
Two weeks ago, Investindustrial announced it had combined US private-label manufacturer Winland Foods and Italy’s La Doria to form Windoria, a new business generating $4bn in sales.
Earlier this year, the PE firm partnered with the Saudi Industrial Development Fund Investment Co. to establish a physical presence in the Middle East.
The Al-Fursan deal marks “the first-ever majority transaction in Saudi Arabia by a company backed by a European private equity firm,” the statement said.
"New Windoria group to buy Saudi condiments firm Al-Fursan" was originally created and published by Just Food, a GlobalData owned brand.
