Appliance Retailer
Zip Heaters (Aust) Pty Ltd, trading as Zip Water, has announced a recall of taps supplied with its Zip ChillTap Extra filtered water appliance after routine testing identified the potential for higher levels of cadmium in drinking water.
The recall affects the Residential Zip ChillTap Extra tap (CT12XCER2AU), the Commercial Zip ChillTap Extra tap (CT39XCEC2AU), and the ChillTap Extra Spare Part Kit (99445).
“At Zip Water, we are committed to providing safe, high quality, great tasting drinking water for all our customers,” the company said.
Zip Water will also provide affected customers with an additional 12 months’ manufacturer’s warranty on the entire Zip ChillTap Extra product.
Consumers are advised to stop using the affected taps immediately and contact Zip Water to arrange supply and installation of a replacement tap by a Zip technician.
