MP praises Bolton's efforts as crown court backlog falls amid record delays

The number of criminal cases waiting to be dealt with by the crown courts in England and Wales has risen to a record high.
But in Bolton the story was different - with outstanding cases falling in 2025 compared to 2024.

Bolton South and Walkden MP Yasmin Qureshi praised the borough's progress - but emphasised that there's still more work to do.
"In Bolton, we are already seeing progress with the backlog falling and victims finally getting the justice they deserve.
