One of the three workers injured in Thursday's explosion at the Brisas del Mar Hotel in Caibarién, Villa Clara, is in critical condition, according to health authorities. Dr. Yandry Alfonso Chang, the director of medical assistance and pharmaceuticals for the Provincial Health Directorate, reported that Geovany Lugo Bacallao, a 53-year-old resident of Caibarién, sustained burns on 49.25% of his body and is in critical condition. Another injured worker, Yoan Alonso Amado, 28, from the Sabino Pupo Agricultural Production Cooperative, suffered burns on 25.25% of his body and is in a very serious state. The third affected individual, Diego Martínez García, 38, also from Caibarién, has burns on 7% of his body and is in a less severe condition. The three injured individuals were all employees of the hotel: two were chefs, and the third was the hotel's administrator.
