ADB Signs $30M Sustainability-Linked Loan with Envoy Textiles, Marking First in Bangladesh

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has signed a $30 million sustainability-linked loan facility with Envoy Textiles Limited (Envoy), marking ADB’s first such financing in Bangladesh.
The unit will add 4,550 tons of annual yarn production capacity, primarily for in-house denim fabric production.
“ADB is pleased to support Envoy with its first sustainability-linked loan in Bangladesh.
The company also operates the world’s first platinum Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) denim manufacturing facility, certified by the US Green Building Council.
By supporting Envoy with its first sustainability-linked loan in Bangladesh, ADB is reinforcing its commitment to driving green finance, industrial modernization, and sustainable growth in one of the world’s largest garment-producing nations.
