The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has signed a $30 million sustainability-linked loan facility with Envoy Textiles Limited (Envoy), marking ADB’s first such financing in Bangladesh. The unit will add 4,550 tons of annual yarn production capacity, primarily for in-house denim fabric production. “ADB is pleased to support Envoy with its first sustainability-linked loan in Bangladesh. The company also operates the world’s first platinum Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) denim manufacturing facility, certified by the US Green Building Council.
