Robert Preston Morris, 64, entered the pleas before a judge in Oklahoma’s Osage County as part of a plea agreement, according to the state attorney general’s office. The abuse began in 1982 when the victim was 12 and Morris was a traveling evangelist staying in Hominy, Oklahoma, with her family, according to the statement by Oklahoma Attorney General Gentner Drummond. Under the plea agreement, Morris received a 10-year suspended sentence with the first six months to be served in the Osage County Jail. Morris was handcuffed and wearing a suit as he was escorted out of court on Thursday by two sheriff's deputies. Mateja said Morris wanted to apologize to Clemishire and her family for his conduct and asked for forgiveness.
