STEVENS POINT, Wis. (WSAW) - As the leaves begin to fall, cold weather is closer than it seems. This winter, a new non-profit, Stevens Point Community Outreach Inc., will be in charge of the Winter Warming Shelter at Frame Memorial Presbyterian Church in Stevens Point. They began by giving out Sunday meals directly to people experiencing homelessness, and now they have the opportunity to run the winter warming shelter. Starting on Monday, dropboxes will be placed in town at Bound to Happen Books on Main Street, at both the Plover and Stevens Point Central Wisconsin Credit Unions, and at the Stevens Point DigiCOPY.
