Two weeks ago, sophomore offensive lineman Jake Guarnera started his first game for the Michigan football team. When he found out Norton won the job, Guarnera didn’t stop going about his business. But Guarnera didn’t stand out solely because of his size. Along with his work ethic and steady presence regardless of his place on the depth chart, Guarnera’s always been a guy ready to do whatever’s asked of him. “Jake played really well, he graded out really well,” Wolverines offensive line coach Grant Newsome said Sept. 17 after the win over Central Michigan.
