GMRSC, AAG, GDA among latest sports bodies to engage with Minister JacobsKaieteur Sports – Continuing his recent meetings with the respective sports bodies in Guyana, Minister within the Ministry of Culture Youth and Sports, Steven Jacobs welcomed more of the country’s Associations this past week.
Hitting the ground running following his still fresh appointment, Minister Jacobs has spent recent time engaging with players, executives and stakeholders of sports locally, as efforts to push Guyana’s athletes to the next level heightens.
Minister Jacobs, via his official Facebook page, highlighted a number of his recent meetings including community walks and man-in-the-street discussions as part of settling into his new role.
Among the latest to engage in talks with the Minister this week were executives and members of Guyana Football Federation (GFF), Guyana Badminton Association (GBA), Guyana Golf Association (GGA) to name a few; who were added to the list of developmental and planning endeavors for overall growth of the sports sector.
His most recent engagements this week included parlays with more key national sporting organizations, such as the Athletics Association of Guyana (AAG), the Guyana Darts Association (GDA), the Mixed Martial Arts Federation (MMAF), and the Guyana Motor Racing & Sports Club (GMRSC) to name some.
