Phoenix Police detectives are investigating an officer involved shooting. On October 2, 2025, at around 7:55 a.m., officers responded to a home in the area of 5600 South 6th Street regarding an attempt suicide. When officers arrived, they initially, made contact with the caller and other individuals from inside the home. This is when the officer involved shooting occurred. In addition, a less lethal pepper ball launcher and a less lethal 40mm launcher were deployed.
