MACOMB – To win a county meet in any sport, a team has to have frontrunners scoring a boatload of points. Macomb Dakota hopes to have a lot of both Saturday, as it tries to not only defend its Macomb County Girls Swim and Dive title but win its third straight at Macomb L’Anse Creuse North. The Cougars are also gunning for their fifth county title over a seven-year stretch. Dakota won titles in 2019, 2021, 2023 and 2024 while finishing in the runner-up slot in 2022 and 2018. A year ago, Macomb Dakota finished with 336 points, outdueling Utica Eisenhower’s 310 points to take home the title.
