Hamrun Spartans added a golden page to the history books, making a gallant debut in the UEFA Conference League Phase, going down 1‐0 against Jagiellonia in Poland. The Spartans played the last thirty minutes of the match with ten players when Joseph Mbong received a second book‐ ing. On 33 minutes Coric tested Abramowicz and five minutes later Jagiellonia had a goal ruled out for offside. Five minutes later a severe blow for Hamrun as Joseph Mbong received a second book‐ ing.
