The Smashing Pumpkins are celebrating the 30th anniversary of their Grammy-nominated 1995 double album, Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness, by releasing a super deluxe 6-LP vinyl edition on November 21, followed by a 4-CD box set arriving on January 9. Both collections feature the original album alongside 80 minutes of previously unreleased live recordings from the band’s 1996 tour, with a San Diego performance of “Geek USA” available to stream now. The deluxe vinyl set includes a hardbound book with new liner notes by frontman Billy Corgan, a custom tarot card deck, and lithographs. To mark the milestone, Corgan will perform seven special concerts with the Lyric Opera of Chicago in November featuring newly commissioned orchestral arrangements of his classic songs.
