Police have issued a major update on the device that was being worn by the suspect who was shot dead following an attack outside a synagogue in north Manchester. A car was driven at members of the public before innocent victims were stabbed outside Heaton Park synagogue, on Middleton Road in Crumpsall. Later, counter-terrorism police said two people have now been arrested following the attack outside the Heaton Park Hebrew Congregation Synagogue. It was also confirmed that the identity of the main suspect was known to police but could not be disclosed. Following investigations, the force has now confirmed the device the suspect was wearing was not viable.
