In this context, Minister Abdel-Aati highlighted Egypt’s positive involvement in efforts to end the siege on El Fasher and promote de-escalation, Khallaf noted. Minister Abdel-Aati welcomed the planned convening of the Egyptian-Sudanese Business Forum and the Joint Trade Committee in Cairo, viewing them as vital platforms for deepening economic ties. He also reviewed Egypt’s measures to support Sudanese citizens residing in Egypt and its readiness to facilitate their voluntary return once conditions in Sudan stabilise. In a separate meeting with Mohieddin Salem, Sudanese Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Co-operation, Minister Abdel-Aati reaffirmed the strategic nature of Egyptian-Sudanese relations, Khallaf said. In such a scope, Minister Abdel-Aati reiterated Egypt’s solidarity with Sudan and its ongoing support for national stability, unity, and institutional resilience.
