Whitfield County, GA – On Thursday, September 25th, the Whitfield County Coroner’s Office was recognized by the Georgia Eye Bank with the Donation Champion Award for its role in providing the Gift of Sight. The award honors the office’s efforts in making referrals for tissue and eye donation. By ensuring referrals are made quickly and with care, the Coroner’s Office has helped connect donor families with opportunities to honor their loved ones while restoring sight to others in need. These donations are used for corneal transplants, medical research, and patient care.
