At its Aug. 1 meeting council will:• Take a preliminary vote on whether to place a number of items on the ballot for the Nov. 5 election. • Discuss natural medicine zoning and licensing in response to state law passed in 2023 laying out the regulatory framework for natural medicine and formally implementing the voter-approved Natural Medicine Health Act. The legislation allows for use of psilocybin, also known as “magic mushrooms,” under the supervision of licensed facilitators at licensed healing centers and decriminalizes personal use and sharing of psilocybin, mescaline, ibogaine and DMT.
