Boulder CountyOn June 17, Boulder County is holding a town hall about Gross Reservoir, which Denver has been planning to expand for several years to increase its water supply. Denver Water subsequently argued that stopping work was a public safety issue, according to reporting from Colorado Sun, including the risk of flooding. A May 29 ruling allowed construction to resume, but only work "considered necessary for public safety," as Water Education Colorado reported. Community members are invited to discuss their concerns about the Gross Reservoir expansion project at an in-person town hall, which begins at 5:30 p.m. at Clear Creek Community Center, 31528 Highway 72, in Golden. The online survey invites residents to weigh in on the plan’s vision and values as well as identified areas for future development.
