North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un responded to President Donald Trump’s warning at the United Nations with a threat of his own. “The United States is a nation of great strength and patience, but if it is forced to defend itself or its allies, we will have no choice but to totally destroy North Korea,” Trump said before the United Nations General Assembly. Not only do the North Korean leader’s threats follow Trump’s United Nations address, but the president also issued an executive order Thursday expanding the power of the Department of the Treasury to impose sanctions on the regime and any country that aids it.
