Shares of Luxshare Precision Industry surged 10% on Monday after reports linked the Apple supplier to OpenAI’s first consumer hardware device. The Information first reported that Luxshare is already working on a prototype powered by OpenAI’s ChatGPT language models. Apple DNA inside OpenAI’s hardware pushEarlier this year, the OpenAI acquired io Products, a startup founded by former Apple design chief Jony Ive, in a deal worth $6.5 billion.
