Jasmine King, the founder of Kin and Cloth, a children’s sustainable clothing brand, has been nominated in two categories for the awards, due to be announced on 11 November: purpose before profit, and sustainability. Having set up Kin and Cloth, a children’s clothing label, with a vision to offer an alternative to “fast, throwaway fashion” for children, she started to trade at the Canopy Market in the area. Having received a series of awards, including Gold in the City Kids magazine’s Green Awards for Best Fashion Brand — Visionary, Ms King also took part in the first Good Clothes Show for “high-end sustainable clothes”.
