Donna went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sept. 23, 2025, after a long battle with cancer.
She was born on Oct. 27, 1939, to Glenn W. Fogelman and Alverna B. (Dershem) Fogelman-Erdley. Donna lost her father at age 12. She adored her father and had many memories of helping him work on his truck. Donna adored her family growing up and was grateful for that love that sustained her throughout her lifetime.
Donna graduated from Watsontown High School, Class of 1957. In high school, she took Office Practice and later night classes from Susquehanna University and Bucknell University. Her first job was bookkeeper for Follmer Gas and Oil in New Columbia; she then worked at Dreisbach Hardware as a billing clerk for five years. When they closed, she worked for Moore Business Forms as a senior order checker for 32 years until retirement. Donna was very dedicated and a hard worker, she never had a job she did not like.
She married Charles W. Fisher on Dec. 13, 1958, at the Lutheran Church in Watsontown by Rev. Harold Ahalt. She loved Charlie and took good care of him all her life. They were married for 66 years and enjoyed the company of their dogs as well as taking drives together in their Cadillac.
Donna always believed in callings and even though she had no children of her own, she always said there were many children in our area who needed attention and help. For six years, she, along with the help of Carole Hamm of the Country Cupboard, relatives, friends, and co-workers organized a Christmas party for a group of children from Union County Children and Youth Services. She and her friends that helped her enjoyed these children very much.
Donna was so very loved by all of her family and friends. She was kind, caring, and loving. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Donna loved Jesus and even through life's difficulties, she remained firm in her faith until she was able to meet Him face to face.
Donna was a member of the Eastern Star 394 of Lewisburg.
Donna was raised as an only child until her mother married Guy Erdley in 1958. At that point she gained her half-siblings, Sandra Pick of Watsontown, Sharon Merrill of Loganton, and Guy Erdley Jr. of Watsontown.
Prior to her passing, she requested that no flowers be sent; but that everyone just give to their favorite charity.
Arrangements are by John H. Shaw III Funeral Home, 801 Market St., Lewisburg.
