Ubuntu Touch is a mobile operating system designed to run on smartphones, tablets, and other touchscreen devices. All of which is to say that sometimes it takes a while to release major updates. The UBPorts team has just released Ubuntu Touch 24.04-1.0. This is the first major release from the team that’s based on Ubuntu 24.04 LTS, which has been available for desktop computers for almost a year and a half. There’s also support for some devices that supported Ubuntu Touch out of the box, including the Volla phones and tablets.
