58 Threads is located at 14 Westside Lane, Columbiana, AL 35051 and is made possible through the combined efforts of the Shelby County Children’s Policy Council, Shelby County Juvenile Court Services and Shelby Baptist Association.
58 Threads is a crisis-need closet that aims to provide families, children and teenagers with clothing and resources.
“We want to make sure that no child is in need of any of the most basic supplies,” said Shaun Styers, Shelby County chief probation officer and member of the Shelby County Children’s Policy Council.
Representatives from the policy council, SBA and juvenile court services joined together on Monday, Sept. 29, to celebrate the opening of the 58 Threads crisis-need closet with a ribbon cutting.
