By trading Holiday and Porzingis, the Celtics got under the second apron threshold ($207 million) and will avoid tax penalties.
But Charles Barkley doesn’t believe that was the motivation for the sweeping changes.
“I don’t think it had anything to do with the second apron.
So I just think they realized that they’re going to take a step backwards,” he continued.
While there is no set date for Tatum’s return, he told ESPN recently that he’s eyeing a home game in 2025-26.
