President Donald Trump’s approval rating among Republicans is continuing to decline. Trump began the year with a net 78-point approval rating among Republicans, with 89% approving and 11% disapproving. From July to September, the president’s approval rating among Republican voters took its sharpest decline, going from a net approval rating of 72 to 62. Democratic voters overwhelmingly disapprove of Trump’s handling of his job as president, with a net approval of -84 and only 8% of voters approving. Among independent voters, the president’s approval rating has dropped from a -24 in July to a -46 in September.
