NEW YORK — Red Sox third base coach Kyle Hudson had to make a split-second decision Wednesday in Game 2 of the AL Wild Card Series at Yankee Stadium. He held baserunner Nate Eaton at third base on Masataka Yoshida’s infield single with the gamed tied 3-3 in the seventh inning. “He’s running on the pitch, which it gives him a little bit of head start. And so I know he’s probably thinking he has a chance (at first). If I just wheel him right there, he (Eaton) is two steps from third base when (Chisholm) secures the ball.
