That project, The No Vacancy Window Gallery, features the work of 17 local artists displayed in the windows of 17 vacant buildings. Portland’s oldest neighborhood and a historic district, Old Town used to be known as the city’s Skid Row. As the curator of the No Vacancy Window Gallery, Lesueur selected the 17 artists and paired each artist with a specific vacant storefront space. The photographer is now in the planning stages to potentially open his own art gallery in the same location once the window exhibit closes.
