KPTV Photo/PoolProsecutors laid out a first-degree murder case Wednesday against a Portland man who fled a marijuana shop where he worked during a robbery and then doubled back to the store and gunned down two of the robbers while their pistols were holstered. Attorneys for Jason Steiner, meanwhile, said the La Mota employee was legally justified to open fire because the robbers had threatened his life mere seconds earlier and could have easily pursued him to a fatal end.
