Parkash of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Resumes at Kartarpur Sahib After FloodsKartarpur Sahib, Pakistan: The Parkash of Sri Guru Granth Sahib was resumed today at the historic Gurdwara Darbar Sahib, Kartarpur, after completion of cleaning work that followed recent floods caused by the Ravi River. Floodwaters had entered the Kartarpur Sahib complex in the early hours of 29 August, inundating the sacred site. The Parkash of Sri Guru Granth Sahib, which was already on the first floor, was later shifted to a safer location. After the sanctity of the complex was restored, the Parkash of Sri Guru Granth Sahib was duly resumed on 1 September, and the Gurdwara was reopened for the global Sikh sangat.
