The Auburn Police Department arrested an Auburn man on Monday following a minor sexual assault investigation that lasted over a month. Over the course of the investigation, police learned that the suspect had allegedly provided the victim with alcohol and marijuana before the reported sexual assault. Police eventually identified Jean Ruhangintwari, 32, of Auburn, as the suspect and took him into custody on Monday. He faces charges for gross sexual assault class B, gross sexual assault class C, aggravated furnishing of scheduled drugs, furnishing liquor to a minor, allowing a minor to possess or consume liquor, and assault.
