Police operatives in Lagos have detained two suspected armed robbers terrorising residents around Shoprite Ikeja and the Maryland axis in the state. The spokesperson for the state police command, Abimbola Adebisi, confirmed this in a statement on Thursday in Lagos. She said the suspects of ages 24 and 32, who were part of a three-man gang operating with a motorcycle, were caught while dispossessing unsuspecting residents of their valuables. “Preliminary investigation revealed that the three-man gang came from Mushin area of the state to carry out their criminal activities in Ikeja, before luck ran out on them. “Efforts to apprehend the third suspect now at large are ongoing,” the spokesperson added.
