PHOENIX — A SAFE Alert has been issued for a missing 59-year-old man last seen in Mesa, authorities announced Thursday. What does missing Mesa man in SAFE alert look like? SAFE Alerts have replaced Silver Alerts in Arizona as way to spread the word about missing persons 65 and older or who suffer from dementia or developmental/cognitive disabilities. NOTE: These are different from the Turquoise Alerts started earlier this year, which we also cover for the Valley. Turquoise Alerts are for missing persons younger than 65 who don’t meet the dementia or disability requirements for a SAFE Alert.
